Richard Epstein

Richard Epstein is the Laurence A. Tisch Professor of Law at the New York University School of Law. He is also an Adjunct Scholar at the Cato Institute, the Peter and Kirsten Bedford Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, the James Parker Hall Distinguished Service Professor of Law Emeritus and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School, and a policy advisor for The Heartland Institute. (from Wikipedia) He is the author of many books, including Design for Liberty: Private Property, Public Administration, and the Rule of Law. You can find out more about Richard on his NYU bio page.

We met Richard during our first interview trip when he was working at the University of Chicago Law School. Richard does not specialize in Animal Rights law. I had heard him debating Animal Rights proponents and really wanted to talk with someone with an opposing view both to balance my interviews and also to get a better understanding of what the thinking was on the other side of this issue. It’s one thing to listen to someone with a counter-perspective, but entirely something else to be in the discussion with them. Richard was great and brought up some interesting counter-arguments.

YOU CAN FIND ALL OF RICHARD EPSTEIN’S INTERVIEWS HERE. This collection may increase as I add more content to this site.
